An Animal Inside byAlex Sieg
First off I chose this setting, an island beach because I really dread being in the cold weather of Minnesota. Sometimes I wish I were living in a much warmer and quieter place, somewhere more remote.
The symbol is an ancient Egyptian symbol used in alchemy. I chose it because symbols were the first forms of writing and writing is one of my favorite things to do. I’ve also been a fan of things that weren’t quite real. Alchemy is one of those lost arts.
I chose to put the tiger over me because I have a tattoo of a Siberian tiger on my left shoulder blade, and I feel like sometimes there’s a little bit of tiger in me. Plus it’s my favorite animal.
